Sask Cup Points Calculations 2007/08
See Guidelines for Sask Cup Race Series. Points are awarded for each of the following Sask Cup Races: Panorama GS races 2X, Table Mountain slaloms 2X, Asessippi GS races 2X, Mission Ridge slaloms 2X and Table Mountain Sask Cup Final slalom races 2X (first 2 days).
For each of the eligible races, points are awarded to each group and gender based on their result: 1st-25, 2nd-20, 3rd-15, 4th-12, 5th-11, 6th-10, 7th-9, 8th-8, 9th-7, 10th-6, 11th-5, 12th-4, 13th-3, 14th-2, 15th-1.
Groups are:
- J2 Men, J2 Women (ages 17-19),
- J1 Men, J1 Women (ages 15-16),
- K2 Men, K2 Women (ages 13-14),
- K1 Men, K1 Women (ages 11-12),
- E2 Men, J4 Women (ages 9 -10).
Sask Cup Club Plaque
An annual plaque is presented to the club obtaining the highest number of points. This number is determined by totaling the number of points each athlete in the club received from all the eligible races.
Sask Cup Overall Awards
Each year at the banquet held in conjunction with the Provincial Final Races awards are presented to athletes who have excelled within their group.
First, second and third place awards are presented to each of the groups (see above). For all categories but E2, each athlete's final score for the individual overall awards is determined by totaling their highest 6 points from the 10 races and must include at least two GS results. For E2 category, the best 5 of 8 results are counted and these must include at least one GS result.
National Points
National Points are calculated and maintained by Alpine Canada. Points calculations are updated weekly. Race results from their site are available here. You can also search for points and profiles. Please Note: Although race results may be posted early in the week, National points are recalculated every Tuesday night and updated points are available Wednesday mornings.
