My goals: I believe I have a lot to offer the Sask Alpine programs and I look forward to being able to share my ski racing knowledge and experience with the athletes of your club. With my extensive alpine racing background including World Cup and Olympic participation, I gained a deep understanding of the requirements both physical and mental which need to be developed in order to be successful. I look forward to making a strong commitment to both the athletes and their goals, as well as overcoming any challenges in order to meet their objectives.

Canada District West K2 Events Athlete Selection Minimize

The K2 athletes are eligible to qualify for intra- and post-season events based on quota spots, meeting qualifying and other standards, and coaches' discretion. Refer to the 2009-2010 Kinder Canada District West Selection document for more details.

The Selection rubric is posted below to show the current qualifier standings for the K2 Females and Males. When the qualifiers have completed, the green highlighted rows are those athletes that have qualified to participate in the K2 Whistler Cup. Those athletes highlighted in green together with the Saskatchewan athletes highlighted in yellow have qualified for the K2 Westerns quota spots. Note that some of the athletes designated for the K2 Whistler Cup may also qualify for the K2 Nationals - and would not be counted for the K2 Westerns quota spots.

Notes:
1: Ty will need to qualify for the Canada Team based on the results at Nationals. Current plans is that Ty will not attend Whistler Cup if he doesn't qualify for the Canada Team - which frees up a quota position for another Canada District West athlete to participate on this team.
2: If Thompson participates in the K2 Nationals, their position for the K2 Westerns would free up for another Canada District West athlete to participate. If one of them also are able to join Canada Team at Whistler Cup, then this would free a position for another athlete to participate on the K2 Whistler Cup Canada District West team.
3: A decision was made by Manitoba that no Manitoba K2 athletes would attend the Nationals or Whistler Cup.
