Hey, Jeff.

Thanks for putting this together. Read through the email below. Looks great!
I tweaked the format and a few minor things. To send this to all the clubs
prime contacts, forward the email below to the email address

Subject: Level 2 Officials Course

I just want to let everyone know that I am trying to organize a level 2
officials course this spring. My thought was to hold it the weekend
following the final Nancy Greene race at Wapiti which would be the March
27th.

I would encourage all level 1 officials to get out and work a few races this
season keeping in mind the pre-requisites for level 2. They are as follows,
1: level 1 certification,
2: practical experience in carded race since obtaining level 1 as follows:
At least 3 different positions taken from any 2 categories: Administration,
Event quality, Course, Timing or jury covering at least 8 race days. The
example given is: 2 days as gate judge, 2 days as a recorder, 2 days as a
starter and 2 days in any other or the same would qualify you for level 2.

Again I would encourage you to pursue this as I think it is very important
for us to continue upgrading the level of officials that we have in this
province. If you go to the Sask Alpine website and check out the race dates
for both Sask Cup and Nancy Greene, and don't forget the Saskatchewan Winter
Games, you will see that there is plenty of opportunities for race
experience. I'm sure that any of these races would be open for extra
workers, it would just be to make a phone call to the contact for that
particular race.

It would be nice to get a list of those that are interested in obtaining
their level 2 so that we have an idea as to how many would potentially be
taking the course. If you could e-mail me back it would help a lot with the
planning of this course.

Thank-you
Jeff Pederson
