To all prime club contacts and coaches:

Alpine Canada is currently receiving nominations for the annual Awards of Excellence until September 30th. In the past, this opportunity was overlooked by many of the provincial organizations and clubs - Saskatchewan included - to recognize individuals and clubs within their domain. This has resulted in few nominees to select from and has raised questions about whether the spirit of the awards were truly being achieved given the thin representation from the greater alpine ski community. For this year's process, Alpine Canada wants a more enthusiastic response from all members.

Alpine Saskatchewan strongly encourages all clubs and coaches to distribute a call to all of their members to submit deserving nominations for our province.

Details on the nomination categories, the process for submitting and selection, and other information is available through the Alpine Canada web site at http://canski.org/awards-of-excellence. From the various categories the ones that are most applicable are listed below, but you're more than welcome to submit nominations for other categories.

- JASON LAPIERRE MEMORIAL DOMESTIC COACH OF THE YEAR,
- SKI CLUB OF THE YEAR,
- VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR (Western),
- OFFICIAL OF THE YEAR

The online form available through http://canski.org/awards-of-excellence takes but a few steps to enter. All that is needed is your contact information, the nominee's contact information, and then typing in supporting information to describe that rationale for your choice.

Let's see if we can get a deserving Alpine Saskatchewan member an award!

Thanks.

Further to the message below, I wanted to remind everyone about this awards submission to Alpine Canada. I was on an Alpine Canada monthly phone conference call this morning and they hadn't had ANY submissions as yet! Take this opportunity to promote our Sask Alpine members!

Hi, all.

Last reminder on this. I checked with Alpine Canada and they do not have submissions from ANYONE from Saskatchewan! Deadline is only days away! Below is a copy of the pertinent information for reference. Distribute to your local members.
