Hi, Brandon. Thanks for these questions and comments. Here's some answers and responses for you.
When can Racer see their points, and how can they find them eaiser and faster.
A: There's two types of racer points that a Saskatchewan racer can have (three types if you include FIS carded racers, but we'll leave that side out for now). They are Alpine Canada points and Alpine Saskatchewan Sask Cup points. I'm not sure which you are referring to, so I'll describe information about both.
The Alpine Canada racer's points are compiled at the end of every race for that race itself. However these are not official until they have be signed off by the Technical Delegate at the race (e.g. Al McDonald). Once these race results are signed off, two things happen. First, they are uploaded to the Sask Alpine web site so they can be accessed by coaches, racers, parents, and others right away. They can always be found on the Sask Cup web site page with links provided for each day, gender, and 'codex' or race type. They're usually posted there within a couple of days after the race ends. These are important to make available for those racers that are not 'National Carded' racers because this is the only place they'll see their results - which leads me to discuss the other place the race results are posted). The second thing that happens is they are uploaded to the Alpine Canada acapoints.ca web site but don't appear there until after Tuesday midnight - when they are processed onto the site results. This is the official web site for all races and the racer results within Canada. If you navigate to that web site you'll see there's several ways to view a racer's results. The first is to navigate through the 'Points/Profiles' link on the top left. This will then let you enter varying criteria to get a list of racers (e.g. their last name, division they're in, age groupings, etc) and then click on the results link to view the query results. You can then click on any of the last names in that results list to see a season's profile for that racer. The second way to see a racer's results is to view the complete official race results through the 'Race Codex/Results' just below the Points/Profiles link. You would need scroll down through all the lists of races until you found the one you want, click on the race codex number, and then the complete official race results would be shown. Note that there is another link there for each racer to view the individual racer's season profile as well.
As for the Sask Cup racer points, these are only used within Saskatchewan Alpine to determine season-end best overall awards for each age category as well as determine the club that is awarded the Sask Cup award itself. These results have not been compiled or posted, but are being worked on in preparation for the Alpine Saskatchewan season-end banquet on March 7th in Table Mountain this upcoming weekend.
I hope I've understood your question correctly and have provided an explanation to help you find your racer points easier. If not, reply back to let me know more detail and I'll take another shot at it.
Thanks.
